Présentation
Décrié pour son côté très pop et la présence d’Ed Sheeran au chant, Yours Eternally est vu par certains comme une composition de la star de la pop anglaise plutôt qu’un titre de U2. Pourtant, il s’inscrit dans la lignée de certaines productions récentes du groupe comme Love Is Bigger Than Anything in Its Way, You’re the Best Thing About Me ou Get Out of Your Own Way. La guitare de The Edge reste immédiatement identifiable, mais l’habillage global tire le morceau vers une pop trop lisse. Le contraste entre cette légèreté et le thème abordé, la guerre en Ukraine, constitue néanmoins un parti pris intéressant, même s’il ne fait pas l’unanimité.
