Présentation
No Line on the Horizon est sans hésitation la pièce maîtresse de l’album du même nom. Un titre électrique, profond, où se mêlent avec efficacité la patte indélébile du groupe et les influences orientales qu’il expérimente sur la majeure partie de l’album. La rythmique rapide, énergique, et saccadée porte le morceau du début à la fin et s’accompagne d’envolées communicatives de Bono. On se rappelle d’ailleurs avec frisson de la foule du Camp Nou reprenant spontanément les “oh-oh-oh” dès les premières notes lors de l’ouverture du 360° Tour.
On aime également la version alternative du morceau, plus propre et plus pop, dont le titre est sobrement affublé d’un numéro 2. Une mention spéciale également pour la sublime et très brute version live enregistrée aux studios d’Hanover Quay.
